This Island has the most popular marine park, that called Bunaken Marine Park. It's located at North Sulawesi Province precisely on the Island of Bunaken. This marine park become the habitat of 390 coral reef species as well as various species of fish, mollusks, reptiles and marine mammals. The algae species that can be found in this marine park are Caulerpa, Halimeda and Padina. About 90 species of fish live in this region.
For you that love to dive, Bunaken Marine Park is nice place for diving, it has 20 dive spots with varying depths up to 1344 meters. From that 20 dive spots, 12 points of which are located around Bunaken Island. That 12 points of dive spot are often visited by diver.

If you wanna see rare fish in Sulawesi sea, I advise you to go to Lembeh island or Lembeh Strait, this the place for looking rare and strange fish. It's located near Bitung City in North Sulawesi Province. In there we can see mimic octopus,footed fish, various colorful molluscs and so on. One more thing that make it unique is the sand, its sand is black.

In sulawesi also live the living fish fossil, that has lived from 360 million years ago. Right ! this fish is coelacant. Coelacant still live here, they live in deep sea.
